Laundry Detergent

This is hands down, the best laundry detergent ever made in the history of the universe.  I've been using it for 6 years now and I've made 4 batches.  Stains and odour don't stand a chance!

3 bars Sunlight laundry soap (or you can use Dr. Bronner's or Ivory bars of soap)
1 box (3 lb) washing soda (hard to get a hold of - I generally find it at health food stores like Nutters)
1 box (4 lb) Borax
1 container (1.3 lb) Oxy-clean

optional: 1 bottle Purex Crystals or Downy Unstoppables - I'm not a fan of these as they add scent and they act as a fabric softener which seems to give clothes a milky sheen

Step 1: grate your soap.  You can use a food processor, I found that it left it clumpy and my food tasted soapy.  I use a fine grater from the dollar and grate the soap while watching TV

Step 2: mix everything together

That's it.  Easy peasy.  People love my soap, it's suitable for the He machines.  I use 1 tbsp per load.
